Question Sitemap Not Running After Site Upgrade

Hi - I'm running 2.1 which was working fine. At the weekend, I upgraded Apache, SQL, PHP and vBUlletin (to 3.7). Since then, the site map generator has not been running. I have checked the settings, plugins and hock are on, the individual product is on, it is listed correctly in the schedualed tasks - I just can't find what I wrong.

If you try to run the schedualed task manually, I get the following error:

Interesting - I just an email saying a sitemap had been generated and spotted it took over a day to generate! It is usually a few minutes. Here is a copy and paste from the cp:

Hello,

please try to increase wait_timeout setting in MySQL configuration, sitemap generation is a relatively long process and takes more time than a "normal" web script.

It means that the script was interrupted at some point and resumed generation next day with new cron task.

Default value for that setting is 28800: MySQL :: MySQL 5.0 Reference Manual :: 5.1.3 System Variables
You might want to increase it depending on how long does it take to create sitemap.
Otherwise, you can keep it as is and generate sitemap in 2 steps (with the second cron tasks resuming generation).

Thanks for the help - works fine now.

I think I'll do one of those "server optimisation requests" over at vbulletin.com now that I've upgraded everything.
