Since upgrade to 3.7.2 garbled non-English characters

    Guys,

Perhaps this is a vBSEO issue, perhaps it's not. Since I've upgraded to 3.7.2, all the multi-lingual messages on my forum (Polish, Spanish, a few others) have lost their international characters and have had them replaced with question marks. For example:

H鲯e del Trabajo de la Rep?a de Cuba

If I cut and paste some non-english text it seems to be O.K., for example I copied some of the non-english text from this forum, pasted it into my forum, and no problems..any ideas?

Because it becomes a question mark and not an english equivalent, (ie, the umlaut will turn into just 'u' instead of the u with 2 dots over it), i have a feeling it doesn't have to do with vbseo, but more than likely your database charset.

First step to determine it is to temp. disable the plugin (turn off in vbseocp and rename htaccess to htacces.txt for testing). Do it quick though

Does it affect old messages as well or only those posted after upgrade?

Oleg, it seems to be some sort of problem between the new upgrade and VBseo. I had VBseo disabled for awhile and most old corrupted threads appeared O.K...I enabled VBseo a few hours later and the characters are all corrupt again. See here for the corrupt character with VBseo enabled:

Does that post looks ok if you disable vBSEO?

Oleg, it seems to be O.K. now. I uncommented out the UTF-8 line in my config.sys for VBulletin.
