Settings Won't Save, and lots of blank fields in Admin Panel

Hello there - I'm the webmaster of Zelda Universe (Zelda Universe Forums). I just upgraded to vBSEO 3.3.0 RC1 in hopes it would fix these issues, but they still persist - so I'll let you know what they are! Maybe you guys can help me.


When I go into the admin panel for vBSEO and make changes, none of the changes get saved. The page reloads, says it saved the settings, but when I return to see if the settings were actually changed they are still at their original values.

For example - I want to edit the way single-post permalinks appear. I want the permalink to appear next to the single-post link. The setting refuses to save.


My second issue has been persistent for multiple versions of vBSEO, and I'm not sure if it's "normal". Many of the fields in the vBSEO admin panel are blank - dropdown menus have nothing to select, or they have stuff to select but there's no description about what the dropdown menu does in the table cell to its left. So a lot of the functions of vBSEO are either nonfunctioning or nonexistent - is this normal? Are there empty spaces in the admin panel that the vBSEO team are just going to "fill in" in future releases?

I cannot find any ticket tha is created by you , please make sure you submitted ticket correctly.

This is surely Suhosin problem. You need to edit the default suhosin settings.

Set the post/request vars to 1024 or 2048 in php.ini

; Suhosin Settings.
suhosin.post.max_vars = 1024
suhosin.request.max_vars = 1024
suhosin.cookie.encrypt = Off
suhosin.memory_limit = 16M

Isn't 16M a little bit small for the memory limit? I have it set to 128 right now, I believe, and this is because I have a high-traffic MediaWiki installation on the same server. But Mert had suggested I change the Shosin settings in a manner similar to yours, and nothing changed; settings still would not save.

Also, Mert, I thought I had submitted a ticket but perhaps I was looking in the wrong place - I submitted a question in the support area. Could you point out to me precisely where I submit a ticket?

I am trying to apply custom rewrite rules to make vBSEO work with photoplog, and it is of the utmost importance that I can save my settings immediately.

I have the problem with blank text in the cp too.

Just wanted to update to 3.3.0 and everything is blank in the cp. Tried to install the (german) language.xml but then an error occured invalid file. Yes, I've used the correct files from the /includes/xml folder.

Any help is appreciated.

I am not sure if i follow you correctly. Which xml file did you try to install ? and where did you try to install that file ?

sorry for the misunderstanding writing above.

I've tried to upload the language files for the cp from the /includes/xml folder within the language & phrases menu in the vBulletin Admin-CP.

I guess there's an own place to do this within the vBSE-CP but without text it's hard to identify where to upload it.

Ok after playing around I found a dropdown list with Russian selected and switched to German. It works now.
