    Hi Martyn,

777 is fine. Personally, I have found that 0666 causes files to vanish altogether.

Is config_vbseo.php writable by the server?

yes as stated before... it has been working perfectly, unsure what the issue is now..

erm - there weird thing is when you save something, it doesnt redirect you to vbseo page.. it stays in ACP with vbseo page in the iframe.. where as before when you click save it used to take you out off the ACP, if you get what i mean lol

    should i enable this then?
    Code:
    #RewriteBase /
note: it worked before.... Really unsure why i should have to change it... when it worked before, since that code has never been enabled. Since the forum has started..

[update] tried & tested - still get same issue.

    Hello,

do you still have the issue? Could you please open a support ticket with vbseocp password to check that?

The settings are stored within the datastore if I recall correctly.

Are you running any datastore caching? Does turning it off make a difference?

A backup copy of your vBSEO settings is stored in database and restored automatically when vBSEO is upgraded (and config_vbseo.php file is overwritten with the fresh copy).

Try to upload fresh config_vbseo.php file, then manually set VBSEO_CONFIG_INIT option in it to '0'. Then open vbseocp and try to save settings.

I did that and it worked, allowed me to edit and save. i uploaded my orignal settings after saving them in xml, and the problem still happened, i then did the reset again, and this time, added my settings back, bit by bit. copying my previous settings. and the problem still occurred. So i guess its something wrong with my settings that are causing this... :S

    My server settings are:
    Server Type: Linux
    Web Server: Apache v1.3.37
    PHP: 5.2.4
PHP Max Post Size: 8.00 MB
PHP Maximum Upload Size: 20.00 MB
    PHP Memory Limit: 16.00 MB
    MySQL Version: 4.1.22-standard
    MySQL Packet Size: 16.00 MB

I'm sure this has nothing to do with the problem..
