    Server performance gone crazy

After turning vBSEO on my site server performance went crazy and loading the site is terribly slow.

The load usually spikes at first for a while, but then should level off.

However, if you have 200 users online simultaneously, you've really outgrown shared hosting and should look into a dedicated server.

    Hi, updates on this?

Performance is one of vBSEO fortes against all other rewrite solutions out there. A good SEO'ed site must not only be well Search Engine Optimized, but snappy and fast loading as well.

When did you start experiencing performance issues? What was your server load pre-vbseo? your current server load? Have you switched recently from ionCube to Zend or viceversa?

Hi thank you for your questions. I am still waiting for answer from host about server load.

I had a fresh install of vbseo, though testing it but withou users... Once I turn ed it on on LIVE site I have got too many secs for loading any page on forum. It also slowed down other sites on the server. It is hosted site, so I do not have any exact figures yet...

I am using ZEND - it is fresh install of ZEND since provider did not use it until I asked him...

Before I was using DC SEO.

Curently I am playing arround with VBSEO customization.
I have changed urls according DC SEO - leaving out forum path and keeping only format: t[thread_id]-[thread_title].html
Can this easy performance? Making the way shortened for the server translations?
Provider told me that .htaccess has terrible impact on server because it has to interpret lot of staff to generate every bit of the page...

Changing url rewrite to t[thread_id]-[thread_title].html make it possible for me to leave out also rewirte rules for DC SEO old urls within the site or google... According my testing it works because rewrite rule in VBSEO is customized to same as it was before. I need to do the same with forum urls.

What do you think about the long and short path in urls and its impact on server load?

OK I had to disable vbseo, it was an order from host.

Server load was av. 5-8 (highest peak was 20) before enabling vbSEO. After it was 28-45 (highest peak was 98).
