    Server Load Post Install

Been watching my server load, and just about had kittens...

Normal load is around 0.3-0.7, but since installing it rocketed to 4 !

I've disabled the product in AdminCP and load dropped back to acceptable levels.

Board currently has 1100 users online, 200K posts....

    Help !

did you see what was going on specificially when the load spiked? does it coincide only with vbseo being on specifically? because i didn't have the same experience...i noticed when i did my sitemap with a bunch of changes, i got bombarded for by yahoo slurp and it actually did spike my server load for a little while, but it died down after a bit with no lasting effects...

i'm sure others may have other ideas, though...and i don't run as many folks online at a time as that, either...

Thanks guys - definitely Vbseo causing it, as, as soon as I disabled it, the loads dropped to normal levels...

Just reading through the Wiki link now...

Also, on my server, for some reason - I can't see the htaccess file, even though I know it was working and rewriting URL's earlier - and have not deleted it...
