    Rewrites all leading to 404s

    Hi,

Installed vbSEO 2.1 on fresh install of vBulletin 3.5 today and am currently getting 404s for all rewritten URLs.

The site is hosted with Dreamhost and here is the test.php which shows both ionCube and Zend compatibility:

    http://www.it-exchange.co.uk/test.php?info=1

I uploaded the Zend files as binary and am able to access the vbSEO admin page fine at

    http://www.it-exchange.co.uk/topics/vbseocp.php

    Currently have .htaccess file at

    Code:
    http://www.it-exchange.co.uk/topics/.htacces
    With the following contents

    Code:
    RewriteEngine on
        RewriteBase /
Have also tried with empty .htaccess file to no avail.

The error returned when trying to access rewritten URLs is

    Code:
    Not Found

The requested URL /topics/main-forum/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Please advise.

    Thanks.

That's not the correct .htaccess file. It should have a lot more in it.

Does the .htaccess file come in the vbSEO.zip files or am I supposed to write it myself because I can't find the file in the zip folders nor have I seen any instructions as to what should be in there.

Also note .htaccess was written via console not uploaded via FTP.

Indeed I am - is that the problem?

Guess I'll unzip the files via console on the server.

    Edit: just checked link thanks!
