Did you rename vBulletin's index.php to forums.php or something similar, and CMPS is now index.php? And if so, did you update vBulletin's options to tell it that its index is now called forums.php?

yes I have done that. What has led me to VBSEO is that i ran forumpath.php which came up blank untill I saved httpd.ini as a blank file and reset iis thus turning of the rewrite rules. when i did that I was given a path in forum path.

forumpath.php is just to help you get the full physical path for your forum directory. So, if you already know that, you should be able to just plug it into the CMPS index.php file and you'll be set.

I don't think so; since vBSEO and CMPS seem to be working fine with many other installations.

Let us know if you run into any other issues though...

    Hi,

Sorry this doent make sense. How come forumpath.php works when i turn off the rewrite function by blanking the rules. I cant put my finger on it but something is going on under the bonnett. Are those other installations on IIS or apache ?

Again, forumpath.php doesn't need to work. It's just for informational purposes.

Does CMPS work when you put the full physical forums path into your CMPS index.php file where indicated?

yes but my point is that it doesnt work , not that i need it to work, is it not an indicatator to something else. I have followed the rules with CMPS to a T , the forumpath should be very simple when the forum and cmps are in the root .... just comment out the forumpath$..

If everything is working, then you have nothing to worry about.

Ah, ok. Before when you said "yes" to my question about it working, I thought you meant everything was working.

So disabling vBSEO causes CMPS to start working?
