    Removing vbseo

I have vbseo 2.4.4. installed - not using because of performance issues.

I want to give 3.0 a try on my test board which is in www2 directory.
There is a collision and I probably need to remove files from my live directory www, but although I have unistalled vbseo and disabled in vbseocp.php I am not able to remove files form my livesite, because of getting errors (missing file etc.). Please note I use different seo rewrite on my site currently, but can not remove vbseo files...

Please advice how to remove vbseo.

    Hello ,

Please disable vBSEO from vbseo control panel , then go to admincp and uninstall vbseo product and remove all files when you installed vbseo including .htaccess

If you uninstalled the plugin remove all vBSEO related files. Then you shall not receive any error.

You need to remove ALL vBSEO files. That will disable vBSEO.

From your error, it appears that functions_vbseo.php still exists in your includes directory, and vbseo.php still exists in your forums directory. Make sure you remove all files, along with the .htaccess file.

well I have tried to rename most of them but then I got erros like misisng vbseo.php and such.

I will try to delete them in later when less people are logged in... I am afraid this wont help (something is initiating vbseo files otherwise I can delete either of them and no problem should occure - I guess ...)

    Thanks for help so far

Did you also delete the .htaccess file? If you delete the other files, and leave .htaccess, you will still get errors.

You lost me now... How is vBSEO working if you aren't using the vBSEO rewrite rules?

I am not using it - see my first post

I just want to remove files because I can not test it on www2. domain.
I have unistalled vbseo a time ago - since then I use simple rewrite from DC SEO (vbulletin.org) and its .htaccess file...

Well, if you aren't using the vBSEO .htaccess, and you remove all vBSEO files, then you won't get any errors. Then, you should be able to go to AdminCP and uninstall the product.
