Unhappy re-write error with OpenAds
For some odd reason, this is SPECIFIC to OpenAds....

in doing a copy/paste of the poll information, many of the member name links were re-written as 'OpenAds' and mis-direct to just the username url (ie: http://calphi26/ instead of the correct http://forum.ih8mud.com/calphi26/ )

This is an issue with linking threads, users, posts, etc throughout the forum and I've been unable to find any consistency with it....any thoughts on how to resolve this?

interesting, the issue doesn't present itself when viewing individual posts...only when the entire thread page is viewed....

doesn't matter...i've logged as guest and as my admin user, and am getting reports from dozens of forum members.

well, I give you links....we now have a thread that is specifically created to show the issue...the last post (17) is perfect...

other than giving you the links and showing you what I and my user see, what other information can I offer??

post #17 shows a list of usernames...if you read thru the list, about 1/3 read "openads" where it should read a username...

when you mouseover the currect usernames, per the SEO settings, they should each read:

http://forum. ih8mud .com/members/username.html (added spaces)

the ones that show 'openads' instead read:

http://username/ (not http://openads/ but the end username that should be shown, without the .html extension)

the re-writes don't occur with vBSEO disabled...links work correctly...

if you check posts 26 and 27 in the The Ultimate Screwed up OpenAds link test centre extraordinaire - IH8MUD.com Forum thread, you can see the code where some worked and some didn't....all were entered in the same manner....the issue is not exclusive to member url's...it occurs with other in-forum links as you can see in post 26 (not as often, but it does)
