Hey Nikos,
I am unable to replicate this on my private site or test instance, if you disable vBSEO does it then work correctly? Did you make any other changes at the same time as upgrading to RC3?

Saute ended the vbseo plugin and the problem remained
EDIT
off one by one mod and found the problem
