Problem with upgrading from 2.3.2 to 2.4.0

I'm using VB 3.5.4 and prior to now I have been using vBSEO 2.3.2. I tried upgrading today to vBSEO 2.4.0, but when I did, I get the error message [ This copy of vBSEO is unregistered and expired ]. I followed the upgrade intrustions to the letter. I tried to reinstall 2.3.2 to no avail, any ideas?

I bought vBSEO last January so I know it's not expired.
