    Problem with Links - Disappearing?

I started a new thread. The entire thread was about a page I created to answer questions regarding forum sponsorship. I had put a link in the thread, and vBSEO then changed the link to the title of the page. It's normal up to this point.

I wanted to change the text of the URL, so I deleted it and re-entered it using the vBulletin post tool (add URL). Clicked Post and I see the correction.

If I hit refresh, when viewing the thread, the URL disappears.

Sponsor Texas Gun Talk - Texas Gun Talk

This is the thread in question.

TEXASGUNTALK.COM - Advertisement and Forum Sponsor Program

This is the page that it should be displaying a link to (Notice it has a Title)

If I hit Edit on the post, it shows the URL in the edit box.

    Did I break the internetz?

Brian, I cannot see the link in your posts.

I've even restarted my computer, and confirmed it in Chrome / IE7 / Firefox.

Not sure why it's not showing.

do you have some ad-block sofware or plugin? mcaffee? norton? perhaps ad.html is breaking some firewall or something you have locally.

That's a good point, let me change it to something less Nigerian fish-on-the-head-esque, "Hi, I'm from Zimbabwe National Bank..." style.

I changed it to forumsponsor.htm and now I can see it.

I even disabled everything I had running, Avast and Norton. Then deleted all my cache / cookies, and went in through Chrome, Firefox, and IE7 and it wasn't there. Strange things.

I guess it is a point that everyone should be aware of though... be wary of naming things since blockers can conceal them.

Yes, it's a issue I used to have personally with Norton, years ago. The keyword 'Advertisements' or any similar keyword (like ad for example) was blocked, and I could never see it.

Disabling Norton and installing McAfee, and the issue disappeared. But now I'm using Kaspersky and I'm a very happy customer!
