    Problem after upgrading

The encoded file /home2/goxxxx/public_html/forum/vbseo.php is corrupt

I first installed the zend version but I got a similar error (error in line 1) and then I tried to install the ioncube version and I am getting that error message..

I had no problems with the previous version.

edit: I also get the followng error when I am on the homepage: The encoded file /home2/goxxxx/public_html/forum/includes/functions_vbseo.php is corrupt

You have to make sure you upload the files in BINARY mode with your FTP and not Automatic.

I can access the home page but now I am getting this: Unable to read 19782 bytes in /home2/gxxx/public_html/forum/vbseo.php on line 0

I uploaded all the files again, in bin monde.

edit: I chmod'ed the vbseo.php file to 777 so it now works. Should I leave it as it is?

I dont think you should be leaving important .php files under a 777 CHMOD.
Try redownloading the vB SEO files from the ./download.php location.
