Posting and quick reply is slow

Hello,

After installing the vBSEO plugin, posting new thread and reply to threads using quick reply appears to be slower by a few seconds, and it is noticeable.

I've currently disabled vBSEO on the forum so that we can push content in quickly due to recent downtime then data failure.

Please advise,

if you have a lot of bookmark services/blog pings, disable a few.

I found out the reason was becuase I had set "Display Social Bookmarking Icons" to "Display Icons for Both, Threads and Posts".

Now I have APC cache installed and enabled, but everything's a bit slow, or slower than normal.

Why would displaying icons make replies slower? The first time the images were displayed, they'd be downloaded and resident in your browser cache. They shouldn't slow down anything.

This should not have any effect as pinging services are handled via cron job.

What is your php memory_limit set to ?

My php memory_limit is set to: 32M, should I consider increasing it?
