About LinkBacksEdit your user thread display option and set it to: Linear: Newest First.
Find a thread that has multiple pages of posts. Choose any page but the first page, for instance page 5. Quote any post on Page 5, type in your reply and submit. The re-direct takes you back to the oldest thread in the post instead of your quoted reply. I don't think this is the way it's supposed to work.

is this the same issue as reported here?
Problem with: Go to last Post and why did he loads showthread.php two times?

Yes it appears to be the same issue. The suggested fix seems to have corrected it. Thanks for the link.
