About LinkBacks... still exist. If I turn on vBSEO on my Server (3500+ Athlon) the load goes up from 20 % to 60 %. Will there be an improvement in the 2.3.3 release ?

wow... 40% is a lot. Ensure that you are using the latest xml product file. Were you using httpd.conf rules? If you were, revert those to the most recent .htaccess rules.

Very big (or overloaded sites) use this approach sometimes to reduce the load caused by .htaccess calls. You would need root access for this.
