    Question Performance Problem

I've had vbseo installed on a forum for years. My average server load was below 1. Yesterday, all of a sudden, my server load jumped to 21+ and has not recovered. Vbseo requests are taking 100% of the processor. Turning off vbseo fixes all issues. Does anyone have an idea what would cause such a jump in serverload without a change in server/software settings? Because everything works fine when vbseo is turned off, my host is pointing it's finger at vbseo. I've submitted a ticket, but so far have only received tips on optimization.

If it just started happening, and you didn't change anything, the finger almost has to get pointed back to the server, or a piece of content that you added.

What is your setting for URL length? We recommend 0 (to bypass) or 4-7 as a maxium value. Sometimes this gets confused with character count, not word count.

URL limit was originally 4 and last night I changed it to 0. No real change in server load.

Yes, the server load is currently normal and is being closely monitored. The url length was not the fix. The cause/fix at this time is actually unknown. After vbseo had been turned off for about 24 hours, I reactivated it and the problem has not resurfaced. Mert handled my support ticket and was very patient.
