As soon as the server I'm running my site on has load issues (as the subject reveals, I'm on a shared server) vbseo.php gets high up in the process tree. Personally I think it's a result of the load issues, not the cause as I know the host is running stats around that time (at least that's what they told me when submitting a support ticket). I'm running vBSEO for about 10 days now and the issue only occured 3 days in a row around the same time (6:07 am for me, I'm an early bird) for the last 3 days. I disabled the script but the load still fluctuates around the same elevated level. How can I convince my host it's not vBSEO? I already told them I will reactivate the script as soon as the load stabilizes and they were okay with that.
Can vBSEO cause load spikes like that (seen up to 17.xx this morning)? My site does respond faster at higher loads with vBSEO disabled though. I'm finally getting indexed by Google (though slowly, but at least the number of indexed pages have gone up with an astonishing 15 pages: 66 from 51...) so I do want vBSEO running. Please advise...
Update: I've been experimenting throughout the day with turning vBSEO on and off for timed periods and as far as I could tell there wasn't any difference in loads. I turned it on at full throttle again and I'm ready for more indexation...![]()
