Hello,
are you using the latest vBSEO version (3.0.0RC8)?

No - 2.4.0
I don't put RC software on live forums.
2.4.0 has known issues. You'll need the latest, 3.0.0 RC8 for best results.
With respect, that's not really an acceptable answer, 3.0 is still RC software, and like I said, I don't want to put RC software on a live forum. When it goes gold (full release) then I will look at it.
I have checked google and plenty of sites have fully working archives with 2.4.0 installed, so let's have some help in solving the issue to get mine working please.![]()
You might need to update your open_basedir setting in php configuration to avoid the issue (or turn off safe_mode if it's enabled) if you don't want to use recent version.
3.0.0RC8 is currently a suggested version to use though (this issue should be addressed in it as well as some others).

I don't run in safe mode.
I've managed to hunt down the correct method to update open_basdir in plesk (not as easy as you may think) and added /archive/ - and even though no such folder exists on the server, it seems happy now.![]()
