    Omg! Help!

    I just uploaded the contents of my vbseo folder (using binary) into my forums root directory. My entire forum is gone!

    I get a error 400 server message, but the other features on the same server work just fine (in folders other than my forum). I can't access any parts of the forum or the admin cp...and it was fine just before my upload. Please help!

    Remove the .htaccess from your forum root, and functions_vbseo.php from your includes directory. That should allow your forums to run normally.

    Then, try to browse to http://yourforumroot/vbseocp.php and see what happens.

    whew!

    I got this:

    Warning: main(includes/functions_vbseo.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/40/d108590814/htdocs/upload/vbseocp.php on line 498

    Warning: main(includes/functions_vbseo.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/40/d108590814/htdocs/upload/vbseocp.php on line 498

    Warning: main() [function.include]: Failed opening 'includes/functions_vbseo.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /homepages/40/d108590814/htdocs/upload/vbseocp.php on line 498

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: gp5idsfzc9zet8p() in /homepages/40/d108590814/htdocs/upload/vbseocp.php on line 500

    looks like a "path" problem, but where do I go to fix it?

    Looks like you have uploaded vBSEO files to "upload/" folder on your host. The should be uploaded to forums root instead.

    my forums are inside a folder called "upload". I know its bad, rookie mistake that will take too much trouble to fix at this point. should vbseo be placed outside of the folder?

    Here's my hierarchy:

    root directory--->upload---->forum_index.php

    I placed the vbseo stuff in the same directory as my index, admincp, etc.

    I have a links directory installed and it is here:

    root directory----->links (along with upload)

    Should vbseo go here as well or should the items inside of the vbseo folder get split up?

    When I go to http://yourdomain/upload/ I get a 404 page not found, so your forums are in the root of your domain, not in an "upload" directory. vBSEO should be uploaded to the same directory as your forum.

    If you want, just open a support ticket with temporary FTP and AdminCP logins and we can do the install for you.
