Old links showthread.php not working..

Hope this is the right forum.

My users have added many links in the posts directing to other posts in the forum. Now with vbseo all those old links with /showthread.php?t=30323 don't work anymore.

Is there a setting or a way those will be redirected to the original post?

That's one of the fundamental features of vBSEO.

Can you post an example URL to a thread on your site that has links to other threads in the old format?

now I have mydomain.net/forum2/category/the_thread_title_234.html

but the link above doesn't work.. there is a vB system Message that says that this should be reported to the Admin.

Please open a support ticket with a temporary FTP account, a temporary AdminCP account, and your vbseocp.php password and we can troubleshoot the problem.

I just figured it out probably.. it's the vb Impex script... I have vbseo running on a new installation and the Impex-Script messed everything up..

Yes, if you use Impex, all thread IDs will be different. If you're moving from vBulletin to vBulletin, just do a database backup and restore. You should only need Impex if you are importing from another forum software.

Is it possible to just restore the posts since I've already imported the rest via impex... or should I restore the entire db?

You should restore the whole DB. It's much easier to do than setting up/using Impex.

I think they may have some HOW-TO type guides over on vBulletin.com, but it's just a standard mySQL backup/restore, so there should be lots of info online.
