Not apart of VBSEO but i need an idea here

a awhile ago when i was using 3.0.3 i put a hack in place that moved the archive at the same level as the forums and used mod_rewrite to give those posts .html

and

http://www.sportsrant.com/forums/



It works like a charm, but what I want to accomplish here is to make use of the VBSEO built in functions for the archive and currently with my modded archive it wont.


now when i am done with the testing of 3.5, I want to put the archive back at the same level, using the vbseo functions with the redirects for spiders to the forum content, hence get rid of double posting!

is there a way or can someone help me do this, i would even pay for the help

I acutally got some time to readd the regular files to the archive in the forum root and it is causing the /archive at the same level as the /forums is redirecting there, which is okay

But is there anyway to keep the archive at the same level and and perform as it does under the root of the forums

Were you able to solve this issue? vBSEO should automatically rewrite your archives AND redirect the old URLs when the setting 'Rewrite + 301 Redirect Archive Pages' is enabled.
