    nofollows and jumpscript not consistent

    Hi there -

I've noticed some odd issues with the nofollow and redirect scripts with links on a couple of installs:

    1. Not all external links nofollowed
    2. Forum sig links not nofollowed
    3. Some external links in public areas redirected

For 1 and 2, check this page:
    http://www.webhostingworld.co.uk/for...cpanel-49.html

The first post lists a few links, of which 5 are nofollowed and 6 are not. Sig links are not nofollowed.

    Strange inconsistency.

    (
NOTE: To see nofollow's visually in Mozilla Firefox, here's the instructions:
    http://www.platinax.co.uk/forum/1648...low-links.html
    )

ADDED: You can see sig links for internal links being invariably nofollowed or not nofollowed in the bottom post here:
Blank page on one forum only

    For example on no.3, here:
    http://www.chronicles-network.com/forum/

check the adsense box with yellow links near the top, and the link directly underneath for "forum" in larger black text. When I view that as a guest it's a redirected link, though I've only selected redirected links for private forums in the vbseocp (so far as I'm aware).

To be honest, a general redirect script on ALL external links would be a great additional option for vBSEO, so if the software can more easily identify external URLs and apply nofollow + redirect on them then that could be a great feature for the future, especially on forums with repeated spamming issues.

    Feedback for you, nothing more.

    Hello Brian,

    thank you for interesting feedback!

    re: 1,2
This inconsistency looks really weird. Are you sure there is "nofollow ALL external links" option enabled?

    re: 3
This site uses vBSEO 2.2.2 and the rel=nofollow code was improved after that in 2.4.0 (and 2.4.1 )

So far as I'm aware, there is no other nofollow option on. The fact that there's an example on the vbseo forum itself should be helpful.

As for 3 - I'll look to upgrading soon, then.
