New Install - getting 404 Errors

I apologize in advance as I am sure this is answered somewhere on the site but I have not found the answer yet. I will also admit I am a total newbie with all this VB stuff.

I just installed VBSEO and configured the steps. All of my forum links and many others now all pop up as 404 errors. I looked at the rewrite URL settings as for sure they have been modified as when I turn off VBSEO the errors go away.

I suspect that I
1. have not installed something correctly. Placement of the htaccess folder and or something else
2. have some settings for URLS wrong.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have checked your forum and I see you are upload the htaccess folder in your vb DIR
but you will need only to upload .htaccess file in your vBulletin DIR (you will found the file in the htaccess folder)

Wow. That is simply crazy. Call me the special newbie I guess. I just fixed it and works great. Thank you a ton man. You earned you way on my christmas list!
