I have just bought the VBseo software and very happy with it other than a few problems.

I cannot get google to validate the status of the analytics although the analytics is getting reports etc.

I dont fully understand how the sitemap generator works. I see in the data folder:

35253.log about 10 times

the index.php

sitemap_1.xml.gz
sitemap_index.xml.gz
urllist


What I have been doing is manually copying the data from the urlist archive to a sitemap.txt then submitting it to google manually.
Is this necessary and if so what should I do otherwise ?

@analytics. most likely, you need to turn on 404 codes.
follow this:
Create a Custom vBulletin "404 Page Not Found" Page, and direct vBSEO to use it.

@sitemap, there's no manual work required.
Run the script, and submit yoursite.com/forums/sitemap_index.xml.gz
