New customer - Just installed and can't access threads of categories

vBSEO 3.3.0 with VB 3.8.3 and I can view the forum home, but if I click a category or thread I get:

    "The Webpage Cannot be Found"

I've checked the .htaccess file and it appears correct. I'm running Windows 2003 Server on a dedicated server.

Quick searches found similar issues but nothing with a definitive solution to help my case.

    Thanks for the help

Not that I am aware of. This was a straight up install of Win2003 server when I set it up initially.

vBSEO needs something for the rewrite rules. If you are on an IIS server, you need to install ISAPI_Rewrite.

ISAPI_Rewrite 3 - Apache .htaccess mod_rewrite compatible module for IIS

    Michael:

I'm actually not using IIS. I'm running Web-Developer Controller which installs Apache, MySQL, PHP, phpmyadmin, etc.

Michael I'm not sure how you link to the PHP file outside of AdminCP. But after checking loaded Modules, I see mod_rewrite in there.

    Loaded Modules: core mod_win32 mpm_winnt http_core mod_so mod_alias mod_authz_host mod_autoindex mod_dir mod_log_config mod_mime mod_setenvif mod_ssl mod_negotiation mod_status mod_info mod_logio mod_deflate mod_headers mod_php5 mod_cgi mod_auth_basic mod_authn_file mod_authz_user mod_rewrite mod_security2 mod_unique_id mod_perl

It sounds as though it is not allowing the .htaccess file. What if you try this: move rewrite rules from .htaccess to httpd.conf
