    Need some assistance. 3.0 install

    Hello All,

I followed the instructions for 3.0 installation.

I can not see where my error is.

I am running VBAdvanced, my home page is up.

However, no interior pages are working and I can not get to

    http://www.mysite.com/forums/vbseocp.php

I can not log into my AdminCp either.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to move .htaccess to the root directory of the site, instead of the root of the forum.

Re: Need some assistance. 3.0 install

I started over and re-installed everything.

I then changed the # comment in the .htaccess

I am now able to get into the config

However, I must have made an error somewhere in the paths.

My html paths have /./ in the middle where it should say /forums/

Thanks so much for your time, it is greatly appreciated.

I have turned off vbSEO for now, and turned my forums back on.

Please let me know when you have a few minutes to help and I will de-activate my forums again.

Thanks in advance for your time,

I am guessing that you are currently working on my site.

I am occassionaly seeing parse errors in /forums/vbseo.php.

If you are not working on the site, then I thought I should let you know.

    Thanks,
    Kim

While you are there, can you take a peek at the custom rewrite to see if I did it correctly?

I moved the script into the forums root directory.

Re: Need some assistance. 3.0 install

Thanks for all the help! Looks good.

I have one more question. On my custom rewrite, It seems my code is either not perfect (dreamweaver is not picking up the errors) or something, but the main dynamic aspect of the page is being altered and not working. I believe this is due to the "Clean HTML" These pages are very small, and dont really need to have the HTML cleaned, is there a way to comment that out for just this one script?

    Thanks in advance,
    Kim

    Hi Kim,

"HTML Cleanup" option affects all pages currently and it is not possible to exclude some of them only. So, you can either disable cleanup setting at all or check that your small page and fix a js problem

Re: Need some assistance. 3.0 install

    Thanks,

I was able to get the pages to write and read properly but it is not exactly how I wanted it. It definately seems to be a script problem and not a vbSEO problem.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

    Kim

PS: I did leave you a very detailed PM about another minor situation with my hit counter. This is a seperate issue. I would appreciate if you could take a look at the code there to see if there is another way to write it so the formatting will not be changed.

    Thanks
    Kim
