missing avatars / pictures?

I'm checking to see if this has something to do with vbseo. Whenever i move my forums from one vps to another vps server. My forum tend to loose avatars / pictures. I did the rebuilt thumbnails and it did not fix it. Any ideas on what it could be if it is not vbseo?

Make sure your defined storage folders have correct chown values.
