Mert's Sitemap Post Question

Mert posted this a while back:

I have a few questions about that post:

#1 - I'm just wondering why he has said to set 'Include Show Post Pages' to 'no', as you want search engines to index content on the post pages.
#2 - Also why has he said to set 'Include Member Profile Album Pages' to 'yes' as I was told somewhere else on this website that it would be best to set all the albums and social groups etc to 'no', why would we want to have the albums pages indexed?

It shis up to date though? I have done what Mert said but I'm rather confused on the questions above. I'm not saying Mert's wrong, I'm just generally confused on this matter.

Also is it a good idea to add the 'contact' page to the robots file?

Because we want 'threads' (showthread.php pages) to be indexed in search engines.

As your posts content would already be indexed as thread pages, there's no point in having them indexed as individual posts (showpost-type pages, potentially creating duplicate content issues on your own Forum).

2. Members albums that's not a problem to index it if you want to enable it that's will not make any problem
