Member names with periods

The profile for one of my members "Dave T." links to another members profile DaveT A configuration issue?

vB3.5.3, vBSEO2.3.2

Hello,

to avoid confusion of member profiles with similar usernames, you can manually enable the following option in config_vbseo.php file:
define('VBSEO_REWRITE_MEMBER_MORECHARS', 1);

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but that particular option seems unable to handle usernames containing a forward-slash character (as we discovered this morning).

Any fix for this, aside from excluding such characters?

In fact, avatars appear to break for users with a forward-slash character in their username as well.
