Internet explorer cannont open the internet site [thread] Operation Aborted

I got a message from a member yesterday that they couldn't open a forum thread in IE, and assumed it was an error at their end. I've just gotten my second message from a different member about this problem, so I'm thinking maybe it is something I need to fix.

The message they are getting is:
"Internet explorer cannot open the internet site 101 Reasons Warlocks are the Best! - The Warlocks Den Forums
    Operation Aborted
Yesterday it was a different thread. So I don't think it's the 'thread' that is the problem.

Ok, I've just gotten a 3rd member contact me about it...

I know you are a very busy individual but I have not been able to click on any forum discussion links in a week or so. Every time i do i get the messeage "internet explorer cannot open the site. operation aborted". I have run all my virus scans, defrag, disc cleanup and Ad ware. I have tried discussion links on the front page and different links throughout the forum. when i clicked on "Forums then contact Akasha" that is the only thing i can do. Sorry to be a pain but i hope you can help. I was gonna start a thread but i cant even do that.

One more thing i even tried both ways -- logging in under my username and logging out .. still nothing. thx for your help.
Could it be an IE error? Not a vBSEO error? I found this: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/Sho...47375&SiteID=1

I just assumed it was vBSEO since the three emails have all come since I installed it on Saturday.

Could it be the location of the script files? I'm not sure if this applies or not: http://www.nirmaltv.com/2007/08/08/h...aborted-error/

Ok, I just opened up IE on my computer and I get the error message any time I try to view a forum section, or thread. I can view the forum home page, but as soon as I try to enter one of the sections I get the error, if I try to click on a thread link I get the error.

    I'm using IE 6.0

This is making my forum completely unusable by anyone viewing with IE.

I've checked my content pages, they all work fine. It only happens in the forums.

I've just gone to other sites that I know are using vBSEO, and I don't get the problem.

Can someone please help with this? Or at least tell me if it's been looked at? I'm now up to 10 people all saying they can't use the forums due to this bug. If I disable vBSEO - everything works. I enable it again, and all IE 6.0 users can not use my forums.

vBSEO + IE6 = 50% of my users can not use my forum.

Tried with the default style yesterday - same problem.

Which version of IE did you try it with? So far everyone that has come to me with the problem is using IE6. If you tried using IE7, that has no problems.

It loads fine for me also. This error is usually caused by a javascript. If you have any external js files loaded by any mod try disabling them one by one to find out the problem.

What IE version are you using?

The only things I have changed this weekend, is installed vBSEO and started running Google Analytics. Do either of those use external js?

I would remove it temporarily and see if it works. Where did you place it by the way?

Ok, just selected 'no' for Add Google Analytics Code to your Forum Pages? and tested again with IE 6 - still no good.

Where did you place it by the way?
Did it all via the vBSEO interface - just entered my Google Analytics Code and ticked 'yes' for including it.

Disabled Thank you Hack (which has been running for the past 6 months with no problems and has not been touched) and still get the problem.

Is there an easy way to disable vBSEO without screwing everything up?
