As the problem exists without vbseo, it's liekly not vbseo causing it. It looks like a javascript is causing your issues. the <base> directive is not the problem.

If you have other mods installed, i would suggest disabling them one by one to see if the problem persists.

I am having a similar issue after installing vBSEO. I am getting 404s only in IE.

Your site is loading fine for me in ie8. What page is causing a 404?

I received many PMs and support emails saying they were not able to access any bookmarked pages or the root /forum/

I was able to get it to somewhat work by changing the "File Not Found" requests to redirect to homepage... but that means the other pages are now redirecting to the homepage?

Why would this be happening when I have it set to redirect to the 404 for File Not Found?

Did you move your forum location folder/install, or use a new rewrite preset?

The only issue i see with your site is that there's a ton of 'items' that need to be downloded on every page.. 700-1000 on most page loads. It may be timing out on some users with slower conenctions.
