internal redirects due to probable configuration error

Hi,

found that in my apache error_log;

[Wed Nov 30 17:40:49 2005] [error] [client xx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace., referer: http://www.cheerforum.de/gallery/sho....php?i=7950&c=

One thing I do not understand, this is a part of my website, that is not rewriten yet!

Can someone tell me, what that mean and, even more interesting, why it happen?! Where can I set LimitInternalRecursion and to what?

Btw. it happend only for that one image!

Hi Tobi,

you DON'T need to increase LimitInternalRecursion setting: as far as it is not enough the currently set 10 redirections then something is wrong here anyway.

Could you please check the URL where the problem appears? The URL you quoted is a referer (i.e., it contains a link to the page with the issue). If you don't have this URL in error.log, you can check access.log for the entry with the same time value (Wed Nov 30 17:40:49 2005).

ok, got it work now! It was an "missing" image on the referer page, that causes this errors!
