intermittent broken links

over the last two days I have experienced Broken Links throughout the entire site due to vbSEO ( i disabled it and it worked again).

I have been running vbSEO for over a month now.. and yesterday all of a sudden all of the links within the forum were broken - so we disabled vbSEO. We re-enabled vbSEO a few hours later and everything seemed okay again.

About 20 hours later, it happened again. Forum links broke. So once again, we disabled vbSEO and links were okay. I have NOT re-enabled vbSEO as the first couple attempts still produced broken links.

This seems to be an intermittent issue and I don't know why?... due to Bots?

any suggestions, much appreciated.

do you mean that the problem happens even with vBSEO disabled? Possibly there is a problem with your host?

no, it is fine when vbSEO is disabled. We had it enabled for over month - no problems. THe other day, all links broke. So , we disabled vbSEO and all links worked again. A couple hours later, just for the heck of it, we re-enabled vbSEO and we had no problems - links worked fine again. however, the next day the same thing happened again - the links all of a sudden broke. So, we disabled vbSEO again (so links will work) and have NOT enabled it since.

Hence, intermittent.

Have tried re-enabling a few times since and vbSEO is just dead now. The problem persists.

Please ask your host whether they changed anything. Make sure that ISAPI_Rewrite module is installed and running correctly (as I see, you are running on Windows/IIS).
