You need to upload all vBSEO files in Binary mode.

Please try re-uploading the files, forcing your client to use binary mode.

This is the cause of the 'is corrupt' error.

I disagree with uploading php files in binary mode. I tried that as per the readme file and then viewed the php files after the upload. The text was corrupted. I then reuploaded the php files in ASCII and then checked again. The source code text was okay. When upgrading vBulletin php files advice from vBulletin.com support staff is to upload php files in ASCII. Binary mode is used for uploading image files.

Binary mode is also used for uploading Ioncube or Zend-encoded files, which these are.

vBulletin's are not, hence the suggestion to use ASCII.

The only one you should be able to 'read' after uploading it is config_vbseo.php (to the best of my knowledge).

Oops, sorry. My install problems then must be caused by an old version of ionCube on my shared server. After uploading the files from the upload folder I couldn't download myforum.com/vbseocp.php. Could this be caused by an old version of ioncube on the server?

You couldn't download it, or you couldn't access it in your browser?

If the first.. I don't know the answer. If the second, do you receive an error?

I get a Cannot Find Server error (The page cannot be displayed.)

I have reuploaded the files with binary mode and I still get the error when trying to access world-a-team.com/vbseocp.php on my browser.

I've requested my host to upgrade to the latest version of ionCube. Hope that resolves the problem so I can proceed with the rest of the install.

if the version is incompatible, you will see something like "vbseo requires the ioncube loaders...."

the page will still load that text, but won't work.. it will NOT 404 as suggested.

    something else is wrong.

are you sure you are uploading to the correct spot? are your forums in / (root)?

Are your forums located in the root, or in /forums (or some other directory)?

All my forum files are in the world-a-team.com folder. The location of the world-a-team.com folder is / .

Check this screen shot of my file manager.

    k, i'm seeing this now:

The encoded file /home/webmaster/domains/webmaster-forum.be/public_html/includes/functions_vbseo.php is corrupt.

This means the file was not uploaded in binary mode.
re-upload the file, and FORCE BINARY mode on it.

if your ftp client doesn't allow you to do this, get a different one such as leech ftp or filezilla (2 i know that have the check box).
otherwise, .php typically upload in ascii mode.

the ioncube/zend files are executable binarys more or less... they are not ascii format.

It's probably best for you to open a Support Ticket.
