    Help! All Broken Links Now

I just installed VBSEO and all my links are broken now since the are static. What do I need to do to get them working again? I thought a redirect is setup.

Did you upload the .htaccess file?

Now I did forget to edit the functions.php and I went back and added that snippet of code last. Would that make a difference?

You only edit functions.php for older versions of vBulletin. If you're running vBulletin 3.5.x or higher, make sure you only follow the steps listed in that section of the installation documentation. I see two vBSEO copyrights in your footer, so that means you have installed the vBSEO product and have also made the edits to functions.php. Restore functions.php back to the default vBulletin version of that file.

The .htaccess needs to be uploaded to your forum root.

OK, I put it back. Yes, my htacess file (not the htaccess.txt) is in my forum root folder.

Also, make sure you server has mod_rewrite installed. (Your host should be able to confirm for you.)

Yep! Just got off the phone with my host (Godaddy) and they said it's already installed in all linux hosting plans (part of the Apache package)

Could this be the problem? My forum is in the root of my server not inside a forums folder. So do I need to modify the. htaccess file to reflect that?

No, you shouldn't need to edit it. When you click on a link and get the 404 message, what is shown in your URL line? Paste an example link if you can; or PM it if you prefer.
