Lightbulb Having Some Problems

Hey everyone, first post here.

Ive browsed through the forums here for an answer to my question but I cannot find an answer to my question.

When I first found out about vbSEO I wanted to try it out before i bought it, I found a copy of
vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator v.1.1

for download. I installed it and it worked pretty good. It did what I thought vbSEO was supposed to do, created Sitemaps/changed most of my URL's to ***.html etc..

I recently purchased vbSEO. I uninstalled the vbSEO Sitemap generator and Installed vbSEO, I've searched all over these forums and I just cannot figure out how to solve my problem. The old url's that were rewritten by the sitemap generator will not change. Even with everything uninstalled, and just running normal vb 3.5x the urls still show the rewritten urls from the sitemap generator.

I'm going crazy and well, my forums are down and I'm at a loss as for what to do.

Any help is apreciated. Thanks.

Re: Having Some Problems

vBSEO Sitemap Generator never re-wrote any URLs. It only generated sitemaps. You must have some other hack installed that is rewriting your URLs.

Re: Having Some Problems

Hello BoTGoD,

as ConqSoft wrote, "vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator" is NOT changing the URLs - it is used to create sitemap files for your forums.
This is a separate script that we suggest to use together with vBSEO itself.

It looks like your forums are running fine now though - did you managed to fix the problem you had?
