    having problems

    I followed the instructions.

    having this problem
    getting this resolution:

    http://myserver.com/index.php? /forum-name/

    instead of
    http://myserver.com/forum-name

    .htaccess

    there isn't an .htaccess file now that i moved my forum to a sub directory mysite.com/forums what is the default contents? how can i get stuff going?

    The .htaccess file must be within your vB-Root folder (http://mysite.com/forums)

    Make sure the vBSEO .htaccess file is located @ the root of your forums (in your case: mysite.com/forums/.htaccess)

    Also, verify that you have entered the right URL (without trailing slash) for your forums within your vB admincp.

    URL entered correctly?
    I copied one from the root.
    what is an example of what vbseo's .htaccess file looks like inside?

    v2.

    2.1 archive doesn't have .htaccess file and is missing a couple others. Might be a good idea to document you have to download and get those from the 2.0 archive.

    actually .htaccess is there. For some reason on my mac it won't show up. Interesting.

    mac users can type in the following in a terminal window to have .htaccess files show
    defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles true
