    Google warnings on sitemap download

Earlier I logged into my webmaster tools account and saw that under sitemaps, it said warnings. So I resubmitted the sitempa in hopes of having the problem solved, unfortuantely it was not and I still have warnings.

Ive got a handful of invalid tag warnings

    They simply read

    Invalid Tag Value
This xml tag has an invalid value please fix and resubmit

    Site is RandomChatter (dot) org

    How to fix?

Try uploading the vbseo_sitemap.xml product file allowing overwrite. Found in the docs folder of your sitemap download.

This could happen if you have upgraded your sitemap from an older version to the newer one, but the old version number is still showing in the product list in your Admin CP for vBulletin.

    It tells you everything.
    open the file,

find the line in the first code block

replace it with the code in the next code block

    save file.

    re-run the sitemap generator

re-submit in google webmaster area if you wish (it will ppick it up automatically anyway)

it's on line 1474 if your file is OEM/unaltered

Oleg added a "space" at the end of his code block. make sure you aren't using that trailing space in the search string of your editor, as it does not exist.

That file only has 1367 lines of code and I have not altered it...

try re-ftp-ing the file up from the source folder... doesn't look like that's the right file there at all.
