Google couldn't follow your URL because it redirected too many times.

I've been using vBSEO for a couple of weeks and I love it!

I am getting a few (500+ pages out of 45,000 URLs) that don't work after the url rewrite.
Under google webmaster tools they show:

Google couldn't follow your URL because it redirected too many times.
domain.com/news/27791-something-something-%96-something-something.html

Seems to be dashes, hashes and other things in the titles that are giving grief.

Can anyone let me know how to fix this without changing the titles of 500 thread?

You can choose "Replace Non-English Characters in URLs" here: vBSEO CP -> General Settings -> Character Replacement -> Replace Non-English Characters in URLs?

I assumed that was only for accents, umlouts etc and not dashes and hashes that were in my standard keyboard layout.

I just changed it to "Remove Non-English Characters" and all the threads that were broken are working again.
