I know longer have blogs, how do I disable this?

It looks like the script is looking for a field in your database table that doesn't exist.

If you temporarily disable vbseo, does it work? I do not believe this to be related to vbseo.

I uninstalled the blogs in my forums, didn't want them anymore and just bought the new 4.0 forums... any idea how to stop these database errors?

If you un-installed the blogs, /blogs/ and anything after it is basically a dead URL and shouldn't even exist.

Make sure in vbseocp that you have set "Rewrite Blog URLs" to No.

You also need to make sure you removed vBulletin Blog files from your server , so blog urls will return 404.

Nothing against you guys... you are all great but I think VB4 totally sucks, nothing seems to work right, that stupid style variable editor does not even make changes to a style when I edit it...Vbulletin.com support sucks... I am sick of the whole mess and may just blow the whole system up and buy software that acually works. I have been a customer of theirs since 2002 and I am just sick of what they have done to Vbulletin.

The company that owns Vbulletin inquired about buying my site.... Not a chance, especially if they are going to turn it into that junk

As I said VBSEO has been wonderful and I have made alot of money running your software, but it's no longer worth it..
Why don't you guys create your own forum software?

You're certainly not alone in your opinions here. Many have jumped ship and more likely will.
IMO, they released Gold way too soon. It still has 1000 confirmed bugs according to project tools. 4.0.1 should be better, rectifying many of these.

If you're interested in selling, there's many other options besides IB. Flippa.com is a good start for listing if that's what you are thinking.

We've tossed around the idea of creating IPB SEO, but it looks like IPB 3.1 will include many features and make development efforts not profitable.
We've also tossed around the idea of making our own forum software too, but it is a LOT of work in an already flooded market. Perhaps we will consider revisiting the idea later down the road.

I wish you guys would revisit that idea, your product is excellent, and if a problem comes up there is always someone here that can tell you how to fix it.As far as selling, I am not interested in that, got a good real job, house paid for,100% debt free no credit cards/car payments etc. it's not about the money, these websites become our baby and a big part of our life, it just frosts my butt to see them release that junk and charge the price they do for it...Then you have to put it in front of your 25 thousand member website and look like a tool. I will sit here and wait for an update in a few days and see if that fixes my problem... if not, it may be time to search for a more stable user friendly alternative.

yes i did.

The vb license we used on 3.8 with no extra package. A few months before vb4 came out i migrated vb blogs from my other forum to this one. I uninstalled the blogs and the errors started. More or less like the poster above.

You should set up a redirect for those pages, as you are still getting search/etc hits to them.

make a Custom REdirect for

'^blogs/$' => '/'

for example

That was always the plan... blogs are part of the suite, not the bare bones forum package.

You would put that code in the Custom Redirects area in VBSEO CP
