I get:

I only have added <br /><!--VBSEO_COPYRIGHT--> once in the footer template... And even without that it still shows up twice...

Sounds like you have two instances of the plugin installed. Check your plugin manager.

I didn't had 2 products, but still the old plug-in from 2.0.0 , Deleting the plug-in solved it.
