Getting 404 errors if vBSEO activated

    Hello,
I am running an apache webserver on windows 2003. The mod_rewrite module is loaded, the vBSEO htaccess in the root directory of my forum, but still I get 404 errors if vBSEO is activated.
I tried already to use rewritebase, that makes no difference.

    Can anyone help?

The most common reasons for 404's are:

    • Server doesn't support mod_rewrite
    • vBSEO's .htaccess file was not uploaded
    • PHP's configuration is returning the wrong document root for your web site. To correct this you must manually edit your config_vbseo.php file and fill in the value for the CUSTOM_DOCROOT variable. Input the full physical path to your web root.
