    GARS and Vbnews Image uploads

    Hello,

    If vbnews.php is renamed to index.php then the images will not upload properly when vbseo is enabled. Disable vbseo and images upload. If I keep vbnews.php then I end up without an index.php and the SEO of the site is jeopardized (it disappeared the few days I had a 301 redirect to /news/. Once returned the index.php then the site returned to Google.

    Therefore, I installed CMPS and was working with GARS. Every thread asking about compatibility says all is fine. Guess what? The images do not upload!!

    One thread on the GARS site says GARS compatibility must be enabled in the config_vbseo.php file. On line 688 there is this line

    define('VBSEO_ENABLE_GARS', 0);

    Is this the line changed to get GARS compatibility? Is the 0 changed to a 1?

    Update: Nope. Even changing the 0 to 1 does not allow images to be uploaded.

    Therefore my question becomes:

    What are the settings to get GARS header images to upload properly? GARS is installed in the default locations.

    I know the vbnews image uploads work with vbseo off. I'll try the gars header image upload with vbseo off.

    Update: OK. Disabled vbseo plugin, refresh index, went to gars article, edit, browse new image, and saved. No change. Therefore, we can conclude this is not a vbseo issue with GARS. Since I was having trouble with vbnews and image uploads with vbseo enabled then I made the mistake of not checking this. Thanks for the reminder. Now, back to the GARS support forums. sigh.

    Just one last thing. Does this mean the setting in config is 0 or 1?

    When you enable the setting in config you will have a new URL format option in vbseocp especially for GARS multipage URLs.
