"The requested URL /portal-news/blablabla.html was not found on this server".

Hello Patrick ,
Make sure you have vbseo .htaccess file in your forum root

yes thanks...just found it out
Have still one more problem. What does this mean:
Warning: is_file() [function.is-file]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/www/xxx/html/forum/drawings/thumbnails.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/finlandl:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in [path]/cmps_index.php(562) : eval()'d code on line 5
That is related to vbadvanced cmps. Your server has open_basedir restriction and one of your mods path is not correct

do I have to talk to my host that he should not restrict it?
Another thing is that I have just run the vbulletin diagnostic tool and found this:
./vbseo_sitemap extra-urls.txt File not recognized as part of vBulletin index.php File does not contain expected contents vbseo_getsitemap.php File does not contain expected contents vbseo_sitemap.php File does not contain expected contents vbseo_sitemap_config.php File does not contain expected contents vbseo_sitemap_functions.php File does not contain expected contents vbseo_sm_config30x.php File does not contain expected contents Scanned 4 files
./vbseo_sitemap/addons vbseo_sm_downloads.php File does not contain expected contents vbseo_sm_downloads2.php File does not contain expected contents vbseo_sm_vba.php File does not contain expected contents vbseo_sm_vba_links.php File does not contain expected contents
Yes you can talk to your host about it
That is normal as vBSEO files are not part of default vBulletin.
