Forbidden message

Forbidden message

Hi

I was getting the error page message for my thread links so I checked trouble shooting and I notice the .htaccess did not have a . in front of it so I put the . in fornt now I get this message

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
also I saw in another post to make sure you have vbseo.xml in you root folder. Well I cannot find that file in the files I downloaded or uploaded! Tahnks

I notice that everytime I try and rename htaccess.txt to .htacess that it disappears!

Hello Gen ,

Make sure you uploaded vBSEO .htaccess file to your server. Some servers treat .htaccess files as hidden files. You can choose to display hidden files withijn your ftp program. Make sure your server also supports mod_rewrite and you are allowed to use .htaccess file on your server. You can make a test by following [How to] Check if mod_rewrite is working for my site
