ISAPI rewrite

Could any one do me the rule I need to add flashchat? Works with mod off but not when on

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !chat

is the one I think, but needs to be windows compatible

for ISAPI_Rewrite you should find:

RewriteCond URL ^/forums/(?!admincp/|modcp/|clientscript/|cpstyles/|images/|search\.php).*
and replace with:

RewriteCond URL ^/forums/(?!admincp/|modcp/|clientscript/|cpstyles/|images/|search\.php|chat).*

What would this be if the chat folder was in root instead of forum?

I.E.
/chat instead of /forum/chat

it would be the same thing.

the

RewriteCond URL ^/forums/(?!

preceding the list of folders adds /forums/ on to everything in the OR list. So, technically, you shouldn't have forums/ there at all at the front of the (list|of|folders)
