The first step after installing??

I got VBSEO installed and like many people here, I'm having the problem that when I turn the plug-in on in my AdminCP, my forums and thread URLs change from php code to the html code, just like they are supposed to, however the files with the new URL dont exist and I get an error

With VBSEO turned on
http://www.avrevforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24
becomes
http://www.avrevforum.com/blu-ray-players-software/

but i get the 404 error

The requested URL /blu-ray-players-software/ was not found on this server.

Forgive me for being new and ignorant, but is there a script i need to run for new installs that creates the correct folders on the server? I thought this software would automatically generate the folders or do internal re-directs to the newly re-named pages.

I'm sure I just have some basic setting wrong in my vbseo control panel or something silly like that but any assistance would be most helpfull.

Thanks,
Bryan

Please upload the .htaccess file on your root.
You will find it in htaccess folder with vBSEO.
