Feed content displayed in forumdisplay

Hi guys,

I have a mod installed on our forum to display feeds in forumdisplay instead of having to open the thread to read the feed.

This is the mod:

I have two problems with it:

1) Unregistered users can't see modified pages.

2) Some feeds (it seems like just the longer ones) display "forbidden access" pages when feed's title is clicked.

You don't have permission to access....

Any idea why this is happening? The author of this modification suggested that the second issue may be related to vbseo software.

Any help much appreciated.

Does it work correct when vBSEO is disabled from vBSEO Cp ?

As an unregistered user you can't see feeds content and images.

As a registered user or an admin the mod seems to work fine but some feed title's urls don't work.

The forbidden links appear to be coming into the rss parser incorrectly.

Looks like the url isn't getting split from the post body.

what does that url look like with vbseo disabled?

it's not vbseo causing it. it simply doesn't do anything in dynamic links, but will in /friendly-style/ urls.

why it doesn't work for guests is also beyond me (i made a user, vbseotest). The plugin must have an option? or has a case in it for $show['member'] in either the template or the php itself.

I also noticed that some feed urls are not getting split from the post body.

When the vBSEO plugin is disabled the link you used as an example looks like this:

vBSEO works perfectly on our forum otherwise so I believe the url problem is exclusively related to this mod.

The coder fixed the problem with URLs and updated the zip file. I have no idea what was the issue.

The problem with unregistered users was actually caused by the vBSEO setting which disable viewing previews for guests...
